Léo Nataf is a French artist born in 1994. During his bachelor at Central Saint Martins in London, he developed modes of expression related to materials with fire and steel.
Nataf explains that « it is not the final form that shines but the material itself, it lives, just like we breathe. » His travels to Mexico, Nouvelle-Guinée and Amazonie informed his works and his creative process by incorporating found materials such as volcanic rocks with ceramics, wood, cellular concrete or even mousse that he paints.
Since 2018, he is part of the collective « L’Atelier de Paname ». Most recently, the Clavé Fine Art gallery and Millenn’Art gallery have organized his first solo exhibition ‘Taire la matière.’ He lives in his studio in Saint Denis.
