Clavé Fine Art was an art gallery established in César’s former studio, redesigned by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.
Opened in March 2021, the gallery closed its doors in July 2025.
Invisible from the outside, the gallery’s interior surprised with its volume and the light emanating from its walls and ceiling made of “washi”, a Japanese papier-mâché technique. The space offered an intimate setting and exhibitions in which the artworks and the architecture created a dialogue.
The gallery focused on offering a program centered around established and recognized artists, while making every effort to present works that were fresh to the market. Clavé Fine Art also worked alongside artists of different generations, both French and international.
Whether dealing with artists, estates or collectors, Clavé Fine Art has established a relationship of trust with its partners. An important aspect of the gallery’s work was to guide its clients through the sometimes complex world of the art market, offering the highest quality of advice, from the constitution to the organization of collections.
