JOAN PUNYET MIRÓ - MONOCROMÍAS

Upcoming exhibition
20.06.25 → 26.07.25

From June 20 to July 26, 2025, Clavé Fine Art will present an exhibition dedicated to the work of Joan Punyet Miró.

Joan Punyet Miró, grandson of Catalan painter Joan Miró, and Antoine Clavé, great-grandson of Antoni Clavé, have joined forces to present Monocromías. This exhibition is the fruit of a dual heritage and friendship between their forebears.

In this exhibition, Joan Punyet Miró presents memories of Joan Miró’s studio, through a monochrome palette inspired by the shades and materials present in the modern painter’s universe. More than a series of paintings, Monocromías is conceived as a space to inhabit, a place crossed by memory, gesture and silence.

Through this exhibition, Joan Punyet Miró pursues a personal exploration of memory. He returns to his childhood memories of the Balearic Islands, and the singular world of his grandfather’s studio. The works, produced in a deliberately monochrome palette, echo some of the colors and materials familiar from Miró’s world, but with an assumed distance. The aim is not to reproduce, but to make present: a gesture, a light, an inner place.
